“Foods You Can’t Stop Eating and Thinking about”

As I grow old and experience different kinds of tastes through home cooking, restaurants we visit and the food given by our close friends, neighbors and relatives, I have learned to appreciate a lot and even find some of them addictive. Like when you started to eat it, you won’t stop until it’s gone. The craving that needs to be satisfied!

A good example is Ice cream, is a sweetened frozen food typically eaten as a snack or dessert. It may be made from dairy milk or cream and is flavored with a sweetener, either sugar or an alternative, and any spice, such as cocoa or vanilla. According to Wikipedia, its history may have started from The Roman EmperorNero (37–68 AD) had ice brought from the mountains and combined it with fruit toppings to create chilled delicacies.

Another one of my favorite is Chocolates, is a usually sweet, brown food preparation of roasted and ground cacao seeds that is made in the form of a liquid, paste, or in a block, or used as a flavoring ingredient in other foods. According to Wikipidea, the earliest evidence of use traces to the Olmecs (modern day Mexico), with evidence of chocolate beverages dating to 1900 BC. The majority of Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, including the Maya and Aztecs. The word “chocolate” is derived from the Classical Nahuatl word chocolātl.

Another is French fries, they are served hot, either soft or crispy, and are generally eaten as part of lunch or dinner or by themselves as a snack. They are usually salted or served with ketchup, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or other local specialties.

We know very well these are common foods, but we still love to eat them. We think a lot about these foods because of their incredible tastes and unforgettable after flavors. There’s this time where I was scrolling through my social media and suddenly thought about eating an ice cream, I couldn’t help but feel hungry until I satisfy my cravings. We all know that I am not the only one who’s like this! I bet you are too. These foods can make us crazy if we’re not going to get one until the end of the day. The satisfaction it provides us. Probably this is also why we get fat and unhealthy. But for now, I hope you get some history about some of our favorite food. Wondering if you can add some of your cravings.

The Best Coffee In Town!

Coffee is so much more than a beverage, it’s already part of our lifestyle. Like my dad, he goes to work every day and he tells me that he drinks coffee around 3 to 5 times a day. 1st during breakfast, he says it’s a good drink to wake up the sleepy mind. 2nd he takes around 9 o’clock during meetings or while working. 3rd or 4th times is just to feel better on a cold office room surrounding. But most of the time my dad said that coffee is the best way to get along with co-workers during breaks.

Aside from having a great day, drinking coffee has a lot of health benefits. According to my research, drinking coffee reduces liver cancer, a comprehensive cancer center found that those that consume 1-3 cups of coffee a day have a 29% reduced risk of developing liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which is the most common type. Yet another reason is the risk for developing gout “in men” decreases with increasing coffee consumption. This is a large study of over 50,000 men. Black coffee prevents cavities. Researchers out of Brazil found that strong black coffee kills the bacteria on teeth that promote tooth decay. Adding milk or sugar to coffee negates this benefit. Prevents Retinal Damage. A Cornell University Study showed that coffee may prevent retinal damage due to oxidative stress. Caffeine isn’t the culprit here, but chlorogenic acid (CLA), which is one of the strong antioxidants found in the coffee bean. For Longevity of life, a Greek boiled coffee linked to longevity and heart health issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine showed that women who consume coffee had a lower risk of death from cancer, heart disease, and other factors, which therefore promotes a longer lifespan. Yet another study published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that coffee drinkers were at less risk of dying prematurely from diseases like diabetes, heart disease and forms of cancer. Another study from Japan found that men who drink at least 3 cups of coffee per day have a 24% less risk of dying early from disease. Yet another study from Harvard also confirmed that those who drink 1-5 cups of coffee a day avoid diseases linked to premature death. A Japanese-based study also found similar results when it comes to coffee and longevity. Two more 2017 research studies have confirmed what earlier studies have found. Those that drink coffee live longer than those who don’t.

I drink coffee while reading, listening to music and when studying. It helps me to stay awake and memorize the lessons. Coffee is a not only a good daily drink. It’s also a health drink and I love to drink it any time of the day. It stimulates and improves my thinking that helps me during the day. It’s my daily driver.

When drinking coffee regardless if it’s a 3 in 1 sachet or brewed. I love drinking it hot. Slowly sipping it helps me unwind and relax.

What do you think a mochi is? According to the Wikipedia, Mochi is a Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. This food is very sticky yet very delicious. I recommend for you guys to eat a mochi because of its lovely taste! My mochi craze started when my aunt gifted me this. Ever since then, I started to buy and taste it more often.
